The Almond Scam
Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Nampada, there was a massive banyan tree next to the King’s fort. A group of rats made their home beneath the tree’s sprawling roots. Jaggu, the leader of the rats, declared himself the owner of the tree and set a rule for all who wished to live there—they had to pay him rent by giving a portion of their food. Along with other rats, a woodpecker and a squirrel lived there as Jaggu’s tenants.
Every day, all the tenants gathered their food and gave Jaggu his share. In this way, he enjoyed a comfortable life without any hard work. .............
